He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Lee Harley Payton and Charles Payton, Sr.; and his siblings, Charles Payton, Jr., Linda Payton and Rosetta Payton.
He is survived by: his close friend Anna Huffman of Shelbyville; his daughter Tonya Payton (Deron Brewer) of Bagdad; his brother Matthew Payton (Michelle) of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Alan Gordon and Alivia McKinley; and his great grandchildren, Gabriella Gordon and Alex Gordon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
