It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillis Ruth Smith of Bailey Switch, Kentucky, who passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Felix Johnson and Mayme Jackson Johnson; her sisters, Georgia Johnson, Shirley Sue Bargo and Janet Faye Shelton; and her brother-in-law Paul Begley.

She is survived by : her husband Otis William Smith; her son Otis William Smith, Jr. (Jennifer); her siblings, Felix Ray Johnson (Debbie), Charles Doug Johnson (Douglas), Mary Joyce Hammons (Marvin) and Ruby Ann Begley; her brother-in-law Oscar Shelton; and her granddaughters, Megan Smith, Madison Smith and Phillis.
