He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Jones and Ethel Messer Jones; his wife Margaret Johnson; his grandchildren, Ariel "Teah" Hudson and Jason Alexander Farthing; his great grandchild Weston Medlin; his siblings, Hattie Rowland, Belle Barker, Ralph Jones, McKinley Jones, Denver Jones (Jean), Terrell Jones (Lorene), Ted Jones and Robert Jones; his sons-in-law, Mark Medlin and David Hudson; and his brother-in-law Mike Hubbard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Medlin of Green Road and Sharon Hudson of Green Road; his sister Phyllis Hubbard of Bimble; his grandchildren, Travis Hudson (Rebekah), Cassaidy Hendrickson (Phillip) and Anthony Medlin (Kelli); his great grandchildren, Savannah Johnson (James), Jayden, Storianna Hendrickson, Westley Medlin, Isaac Campbell, Elijah and Aaron Whitaker; his siblings-in-law, Irene Jones, Raylene Jones, Louise Jones and Ken Barker; and his friends, Debbie Howard and Priscilla Bright.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Knox Funeral Home (325 Knox St, Barbourville, KY 40906). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
