She was predeceased by: her parents, Acie Reynolds and Flara Peace Reynolds; her husband Dana Akins; her brothers-in-law, Kenny Akins and Wayne Akins; and her parents-in-law, Edward and Joie Adkins.
She is survived by: her son Evan Akins of Barbourville, KY; her grandchildren, Natalie Akins, Jaxon Akins and Kimbree Akins; her siblings, Shirley Engle (Bob) of London, KY, Sharon Helton (Greg) of Rockholds, KY, Larry Reynolds (Missy) of Williamsburg, KY and Gary Reynolds (Darlene) of Siler, KY; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Akins (Janie) of Corbin, KY and Kerry Akins (Tammy) of Somerset, KY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
