Doreen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Doreen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Doreen will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin C. Lawson and Mary Scalf Lawson; her husband D. "Kenny" Hamilton; and her sister-in-law Patricia Lawson. She is survived by: her siblings, Peggy Messer (Jay) of Artemus, Betty Davenport of Barbourville, Sonny Lawson of Artemus and Stanley Lawson (Janell) of Barbourville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; among other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Knox Funeral Home (325 Knox St, Barbourville, KY 40906). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
