She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnny P. Stewart and Sylvia Davidson Stewart; her husband Robert Lee "Bob" Elder; her siblings, Ruth Stewart, Ruby Smith, Ted, Henry Matt and Pearl Stewart; and her son-in-law Elbert Mills.

She is survived by : her daughters, Cheryl Ann Hix of Loveland, OH and Kathy Mills of Barbourville; her siblings, Sudie Smith of Barbourville, Doris Patterson of New Albany, IN, Connie Symonds (Steve) of Kendalville, IN, Leona Bluthardt (Ken) of New Baltimore, MI and Johnny Stewart Jr. (Sue) of Cincinnati, OH; her sister-in-law Ada Stewart; her grandsons, Willard Mills (Joannie) of Barbourville and Elbert Mills (Brittany) of London; and her great grandchildren, Brayden, John Brayden, Eliana, Jaci Ann and Willa Mills.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Knox Funeral Home (325 Knox St, Barbourville, KY 40906).
