She was predeceased by: her parents, Art Smith and Evelyn Smith; her husband Jeffery McVey; her sister Rebecca Bruner; and her brother-in-law Douglas Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Arthur McVey, Christopher McVey, Joshua Wilburn, Emily McVey (Dalton Scott), Matthew Ledford and Haley McVey; her granddaughter Zayla Tate; her sister Nancy Barnes; her sibling's children, Wendy Ray, Teia Ray, Desirae Bruner, Marcus Bruner and Dustin Ray; and her brother-in-law Mark Bruner.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Knox Funeral Home (325 Knox St, Barbourville, KY 40906). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
