He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gilbert and Virginia Kathleen Wilcoxen Hatfield; and his siblings, Connor Keith Hatfield and Valla Ray Hatfield Geoghegan. He is survived by: his daughters, Heather Hatfield of Bardstown and Holly Strauch (Bradley) of Blanco, TX.; his sister Diana Hatfield Ratliff of Bardstown; and his grandchildren, Samuel Erter, Taylor Strauch and Laney Strauch.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1475 New Shepherdsville Rd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the National Domestic Violence Hotline or to the Nelson County Humane Society.
