She was predeceased by: her mother Leila Wall Godbey; her husband William Bradley Watson; her parent Lee Godbey; her siblings, Christine Farris, Zelma Reed, Mary Godbey, Margaret Mulligan, Lee Estil Godbey, Jr. and Jim Godbey; and her stepdaughter Mary Lou Watson.
She is survived by: her friends, Mayme Allen Kraus and Lucy Chesser Jacobs; her children, Bill Watson and Jean Curtsinger (Bruce); her grandchildren, Lori Newton (Larry), Katie Watson, Ashley Simpson (Josh), Wesley Curtsinger (Erin), Emily Watson and Dr. Bradley Watson; her stepdaughter Virginia Wright; and her caregivers, Sandy Hillard, Chaselan Ruley and Izzy Beam. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
