With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobby Gene Gowen of Bardstown, Kentucky, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gowen and Elsie Jeffries Gowen; his children, Ralph Wade Gowen and Evonna Gail Stith; his siblings, Orville Gowen, Mae Prentiss Long, Geraldine Aubrey and Gloria Fay Stillwell; his grandson Christopher Metcalfe; and his stepgrandson Christopher Garion Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Estelle Underwood Gowen; his children, Gregory Gene Gowen (Nelda), Gary Wayne Gowen and Jasmine Nicole Akridge (Kyle); his stepchildren, Belinda Hefley Veluzat (Jim) and Mitchell Hefley; and his siblings, Ronnie Dale Gowen (Margaret), William Ralph Gowen and Mary Anne Meredith (William Thomas). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, thirteen great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Trowbridge Funeral Home - Lebanon Junction (118 E Oak St, Lebanon Junction, KY 40150). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
