Doris Allen Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Doris Allen of Bardstown, Kentucky. Doris, born on September 27, 1937, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Allen Sr.; her son Eddie Allen; her parents, Joseph Livers and Mildred Livers; and her siblings, Mary Jo Livers Singer, Fred Livers, Billy Livers, Anne Livers Lawrence, Norma Sutherland Albert, Carolyn Sutherland Mattingly, Joan Crosthwait and Bill Sutherland.
She is survived by: her son John Allen Jr. (Cindy); her grandchildren, Shelby Allen (Brendon), Evan Cass Allen and Jack Szabo; and her siblings, Rosemary Sutherland, Myrna Sutherland Gilkey, Dorothy Livers Durning, Paulette Livers, Kathy Daley, Michael Livers and Lorri Livers Houck. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barlow Funeral Home (2675 E John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Mill Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
