The family announces the passing of Ella F. Kirchner of Bardstown, Kentucky on September 7, 2026. Ella, born on April 23, 1929, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garnett F. Freeman and Lora E. Dever Freeman; her siblings, Mary Kay, Thelma, James, Guy and William; her husband Paul J. Kirchner; her sons, Thomas and Mark; and her granddaughter Dana.
She is survived by: her children, James Kirchner (Kim), Gloria Wetzel and Gail Raque. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ratterman Funeral Home (3711 Lexington Rd, Louisville, KY 40207). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Louisville Memorial Gardens East (11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40241).
