He was predeceased by: his parents, Phil McKay and Nancy Guthrie McKay; his brothers, Tommy and Phil McKay; and his nephew McKay Ballard.
He is survived by: his children, Justin Douglas and Christa Grimes (Chris); his niece Amy Thornsberry; his grandchildren, Jaxsin Douglas, Makenzi, Gavin Downs, Braxton and Kylee Grimes; his close friend Jenny Egorow; and his siblings, Ann Rosalie Ballard (Bobby) of Bardstown, Susan Medley of Bardstown, Rick McKay (Nat) of Bardstown and Guthrie McKay (Meg) of Bardstown. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Nelson County Association for the Handicapped or to Masses.
