With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gay Ferrill Allen of Bardstown, Kentucky, who passed away on May 15, 2025 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gay Ferrill Allen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Ferrill and Mildred Ferrill Briggs; her husband Jack R. Allen; and her son Michael Allen. She is survived by: her children, Ramona Allen, Robin Thompson (Mark) and Jack "Jay" Allen Jr. (Lisa); her grandchildren, Grant Thompson (Macie), Trey Allen (Sara), Lori Petrie (Nathan), Jessica McGrath (Kyle) and Patrick Thompson (Krista); and her great grandchildren, Jack Thompson, Nora Allen, McKenna Thompson, Millie McGrath and Cooper McGrath. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barlow Funeral Home (2675 E John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
