We announce the death of James Vance Vanhoose (Bardstown, Kentucky), who passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Olla and Relly Roberts Vanhoose; his grandmother Zeda Vanhoose; and his sisters-in-law, Alfrieda Necker, Burma Nielsen and Margo Dingess.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna Marie Vanhoose; his children, Jennifer Gilpin (Greg) and James Vanhoose (Stacy); his brother Greg Vanhoose (Gail); his grandchildren, Donavan Brown (Brittany), Alex, Katie, Emma Vanhoose, Ava and Connor Gilpin; and his siblings-in-law, Mont Dingess (Brenda), Dallas Dingess, Robert Necker, Joseph LeAnnais (Erica), Stephanie Hinajosa (Chief Hector) and Clara Dingess. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many great friends.
