He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jr. Flaherty and Zilpha Barr Flaherty. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Klotz Flaherty. He is also survived by six children; two brothers; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his honor.
