With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Howard (Bardstown, Kentucky), who passed away on February 16, 2020 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jerry Howard, Julian Howard and Joan Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Howard of Bardstown; his children, John Young Howard Jr. (Niki), Beverly Lee (Todd) and Pat Howard (Mary Ellen); and his grandchildren, Chase Howard, Lauren Lee, Sammi Howard, Rebecca Lee, Kate Howard, Jack Howard and Owen Howard. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to John's family, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. I first met John through another cousin through the internet in 2012. Our grandparents were brother and sister (Chester & Rena). When I mentioned we planned to take a family reunion trip to the Bardstown/Howardstown area from Northern Kentucky, John gave us a guided tour. He was like a brother to me and my siblings. Always gave us a big hug whenever he saw us. John was special and will be missed dearly.”
