With sadness, we share the passing of John H. Lewis of Bardstown, Kentucky. John, born on October 28, 1943, passed away on September 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Lewis and Nora Bell Mattingly Lewis; his wife Georgena Lewis; and his siblings, Virginia Lewis, Emma Jean Summit, Kathleen Clark, Betty Carolyn Gilpin, William, Andrew and Jake Lewis.
He is survived by: his son Robbie Lewis (Kimberly) of Bardstown; his stepsons, Todd Hayden (Loretta) of Hawesville and David Hayden of Hawesville; and his siblings, Bobby Lewis of Fairfield, Ann Elizabeth Hayden of Bardstown and Dottie Hood (Sam Young) of Bardstown. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1475 New Shepherdsville Rd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
