He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Thurman and Carlene Loveland Thurman; his wife Betty Jo Wilson Thurman; his daughter Cindy Thurman; and his siblings, Martha Cahoe, Kathleen Faulkner, Gonda Thompson, Mary Thurman, Lina Cundiff, Jim and Larry Thurman.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Thurman (Donna), Kenny Thurman (Sandy), Michael Thurman (Lisa) and Patty Martin (David) of Bardstown; and his siblings, Carolyn Downs, Kathy Spalding and Joe Thurman of Bardstown. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
