He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Tharp and Anna Marie Yates Tharp; his son Jason Spencer Tharp; and his brothers, Daniel Keith Tharp, Ricky Tharp and Wayne Tharp.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Tharp; his son Jeremy Tharp; his grandson Joseph Trenton Lee Tharp of Bardstown; and his siblings, Verna Newton, Rita Ringle, Donna Calvert, Linda Stallings, Faye Smith, Pat Beam, Quinda Clark, Pam Hill, Dale Tharp, Butch Tharp and Gary Tharp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
