It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Salsman of Bardstown, Kentucky, who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edgar and Mary Leona Salsman; and his siblings, John Edgar, John Wesley, Joseph Daniel, John Edgar II, David Leon, John Bruce, Charles Robert, Nancy Mercedes Salsman, Hilda Salsman, Shirley Cambron, Rita Willett, Martha Farley, Mary Leona Evans, Margaret'Peg'Thompson and Donna Ann Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife June Carolyn Hagan Salsman; and his children, Mary Salsman Buckley (Eric), June Carolyn Rankin (Giles), Ann Margaret Salsman, Amie Salsman Kulick (Jason), William Richard'Bill'Salsman Jr., John Berry Salsman, Joseph Lee Salsman (Lara) and Andrew Philip Salsman (Kara). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and countless loved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be sent to the Tom McKay Group Home, 329 South 3rd St. Bardstown, KY 40004.
