With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Burns Whitney of Bardstown, Kentucky, who passed away on September 12, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruby Burns Whitney to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Pattie Burns and Nellie Brady Burns; her husband J. D. Whitney; and her brothers, Prentice Burns and Wallace Burns.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki Curtsinger (J. Norris) of Shepherdsville, Pam Montgomery (Greg) of Bardstown, Cindy Hardeman of Lawrenceburg and David Whitney of Bloomfield; and her sister Eula Hood of Springfield. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
