With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Summitt of Bardstown, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Dempsey and Flora Belle LeCroy; her son John Thomas "J. T." Summitt Jr.; and her sisters, Patsy LeCroy and Judy Matthews.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Summitt; her son-in-law Scott Porter; her siblings, Gloria Shoemaker, Jack LeCroy, Karen LeCroy, James LeCroy, Terri Vockler and Shirley Minyard; and her close friend Charles "Boo" Girdley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Barlow Funeral Home (2675 E John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004).
