She was predeceased by: her parents, Arch Louis and Margaret A. "Maggie" Beard O'Daniel; her former husband Patrick Dean Johnson III; her husband John Ligouri Newcomb; her siblings, Archie L. O'Daniel and Melinda O'Daniel; her stepgrandson David C. Newcomb; and her parents-in-law, Patrick Dean and Nancy Hubbard Johnson II.
She is survived by: her sons, Patrick Johnson (Ana) of Knoxville, TN., Paul Johnson (Stephanie) of Campbellsville and Daniel Johnson (Vicky) of Greeneville, TN.; her stepchildren, Ann Newcomb (Phil Kirk), Cathy Mendenhall (Tom) of St. Michaels, MD., Barbara Greenwell (Chuck Mattingly) of Bardstown, Jack Newcomb (Michelle) of Bardstown and Bill Newcomb (Karen) of Bardstown; her siblings, Margaret O. Mott of Lexington, Jerome B. O'Daniel of Lexington and Joseph D. O'Daniel (Betty) of Lebanon; and her grandchildren, Sara Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Juan Daniel Johnson, Hayes Johnson, Harper Johnson, Hadley Johnson, Ally Windham (Alex) and Anna Johnson. She is also survived by sixteen step grandchildren, thirty one step great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, special in-laws and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral (310 W Stephen Foster Ave, Bardstown, KY 40004).
In lieu of flowers the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to make a donation in her name to the Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral or to Catholic Charities of Louisville.
