She was predeceased by: her husband George "Paul" Hughes; her parents, Charles Thomas Walker and Mary Sarah O'Daniel Walker; and her siblings, Nell Hughes, Louise Ball, Dora Mae Farley, Lillian Murray, Marty Thompson (Charles), Raymond and Buddy Walker.
She is survived by: her son George D. Hughes (Susie) of Taylorsville; her grandson Christopher Hughes (Amy) of Louisville; her great grandchild Isabella Hughes; and her nephew Rev. Charles Walker. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
