It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Collins (Bardstown, Kentucky), who passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Wayne Collins to show support.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Collins and Dorothy Collins; his brother David Collins; his son Wayne Coleman Collins II; and his pet Rue.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Collins; his daughter Lynn Young (Chuck); his grandchildren, Courtney Young, Meghan Walls (Douglas) and John "Jack" Young; his great grandchildren, Emsley Willman, Hiram Walls (Dougie) and Corbin Walls; his brother Danny Collins (Georgeanne); and his stepmother Minnie Hardesty Collins. He is also survived by numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Barlow Funeral Home (2675 E John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A prayer was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto - Cathedral (310 W Stephen Foster Ave, Bardstown, KY 40004). A burial was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at the Ky Veterans Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, St. Jude Children's Hospital. and/ or St. Elizabeth Home Hospice in Burlington, KY.
