He was predeceased by: his parents, Izona Kilgore and William Doyle Kilgore; his son Kerwin Royce Kilgore; and his siblings, Ivy Jean Gillespie, Murray and Edwin Kilgore.
He is survived by: his friend Willis; his wife Bobbie Jean Kilgore; his children, Carletta Kilgore of Louisville, Kentucky., Kenyon Payton-Kilgore (Sharan) of Louisville, Kentucky., Danieal Miller (Rodney) of Louisville, Kentucky. and Ebony Lawless of Louisville, Kentucky.; his siblings, William Kilgore of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Lloyd Kilgore (Rita) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Lanetta Thomas of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jimmy Kilgore (Angelique) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Theodore Kilgore (Linda) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brenda Bolton-Jones (Larry) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Donald Robinson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Michael Bolton of Bardstown, Kentucky and Kenny Dale McIntosh of Abbeville, Mississippi.; and his aunts and uncles, Hue, Driver of Chicago Illinois, Birta Mae Byrd, Alma Virginia Adams of Beloit Wisconsin, Ardie T. Byrd (Opal) of Crystal and Walter Kilgore (Lula Grace) of Grand Rapids Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bardstown 1st Baptist Church (315 N 2nd St, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
