We announce the death of Gary King of Beattyville, Kentucky, born in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 75. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janice King; his son Specialist Jacob Robert King of Colorado; his stepchildren, Steven A. McElyea (Linda) of Tennessee, Josh Devine and Selena Howard; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler Abshire, Alyssa Brandenburg, Sergeant Logan Brandenburg, Madison Brandenburg and Josh McElyea; his stepgreat-grandchild Kyser Smith; his sisters, Martha Hosler (Bob) of Indiana and Oneeta Miller (Dave) of Michigan; his mother Evelyn Wilson; his stepfather Fred Wilson; and his sister Judy Bair.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home (3450 KY-11, Booneville, KY 41314). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (3450 KY-11, Booneville, KY 41314).
