He was predeceased by: his parents, Cody Vanderpool and Bernice Colwell Vanderpool; and his brother Johnny Vanderpool. He is survived by: his wife Kim Olinger Vanderpool of Beattyville, Kentucky; his children, Scotty Vanderpool (Mary) of Beattyville, Kentucky, Jeffery Vanderpool of Beattyville, Kentucky, Bryan Vanderpool of Beattyville, Kentucky and Michelle Vanderpool Paff (Zane) of Beattyville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jaycee Vanderpool, Chloe Vanderpool, Alexis Vanderpool, Waylon Vanderpool and Eli Paff; and his siblings, Roger Vanderpool (Debbie) of Richmond, Glenn Vanderpool of London, Kentucky, Judy Vanderpool of Irvine and Linda Vanderpool of New Hampshire.
