He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer York and Maggie York (Polly); his siblings, Bill, Bob, Gene York and Brenda Thomas; his great grandchild Dylan McQueen, Jr.; and his son-in-law Brian Lyons.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma York; his daughters, Dixie Lyons (Greg Helton), Anita McQueen (Earl), Marsha York (Josh Hogan) and Jessica York; and his sisters, Viola Cable and Gayle Cheek. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel (108 Center St, Beattyville, KY 41311). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
