He is survived by : his wife Pam Vincent Smith; his sons, Darrel Smith (Kechia) and Doug Smith; his siblings, Jerry W. Smith (Mildred), William Lester "Bubby" Smith (Wilma), Lowell "Doodle" Smith, Scotty Smith (Beth), Kay Wilkerson (Ray), Laura Crafton and Dee Dee Edmonds Whittaker (Johnny); and his grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Kayla Smith, Daxton Smith and Jason Smith.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County or Gideons International.
