He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vance and Winona Hardin Vance; his brother Mike Vance; and his granddaughter Maely Vance. He is survived by: his wife Spring Brackett Vance; his children, Chase Vance (Kathy) and Alana Elliott (Ben); his grandchildren, Cullen, Eli, Briar Elliott, Conner, Emersyn Vance and Hunter Gibson; his siblings, Greg (Pat), Dwight Vance (Chrissy), Kim Vance and Danni Vance; and his pets, Bo, Buttermilk, Pickle, Sugar and Oakie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Addison Jo Blair Cancer Care Center at Norton's Children's Hospital.
