Joan Mays Thomas Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Mays Thomas of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Burton and Edna Minnix Mays; her husband Lattie D. Thomas; and her son Jeff Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Stacy Thomas and Karen Ann Chinn (John); her grandchildren, Jonica Lellie (Josh), Lydia Thomas and Draven Hill; her great grandchildren, J. D. Lellie and Anna Rose Lellie; and her brothers, Ralph Mays (Nancy), Carl Willie Mays and Jimmy Mays (Dawn). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bevil Bros Funeral Home (226 Louisville Rd, Beaver Dam, KY 42320). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Ohio County, 1211 Old Main St., Hartford, KY 42347.
