She was predeceased by: her parents, William McKinley and Alpha S. Smith; her husband Alton Brenton Cole; and her son Kevin Ray Cole. She is survived by: her children, Brenton McKinley Cole (Daphne) and Kimberly Cole Spurrier (Kelley); her grandchildren, Ashley Shaver, Jaime Cole Turner (Daniel), Jacob Kelley Spurrier and Benjamin Cole Spurrier; and her sister Martha Alvey. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews.
