She is survived by: her husband Sammy Akers; her sons, Glenn Akers (Elizabeth) of Beaver and John Akers (Violet) of Beaver; her siblings, Melvin Gross Jr. of Pikeville, Paul Gross of Teaberry, Rita Reynolds of Pikeville, Betty May of Pikeville and Linda Layne of Beaver; her grandchildren, Allie, Caleb, Noah, Cayson, Robert (Lynsie) and Joseph (Karina); and her great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jordan, Hudson, Hartlynn and Elijah.
