It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Carlton in Bedford, Kentucky, born in Warsaw, Kentucky, who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Allen Welch and Ruth Kinman Welch; her husband Elmer Carlton, Jr.; and her sister Eddie Ernestine Emmick. She is survived by: her daughter Debbie J. Carlton (John Malone) of Carrollton, KY; and her pets, Pinky and Precious.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Ghent Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
