He was predeceased by : his father Orum Bohannon Rodgers; and his siblings, Bobby Rodgers, Orum Bohannon "O. B." Rodgers, Jr., Doris Lamping, Deloris Richardson, Wanda Mae Tindle and Ruth Ann Welsh.

He is survived by : his wife Merram Juda "Judy" Staples Rodgers of Bedford; his children, James Orum Rodgers (Dawn) of Pendleton and Angela Lynn Hollingsworth (Tim) of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Shelby Woods (Bradley) and Whitney Potts (Caleb).
