He is survived by: his mother Betty Johnson Temple (Hieatt) of Bedford; his sons, Caleb Johnson (Whitney) of Hanover and Cody Johnson of Bedford; his sister Beverly Miles of Nabb, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Wyatt and Clara Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
