Joan leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joan’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Joan will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Anglie Lee Aldridge (Hawkins); her husband John H. Ellegood; her daughter Nancy Lewis; and her brother Dennis Aldridge.
She is survived by: her son William Ellegood (Lynn Billeter-Ellegood) of Turners Station, Kentucky; her son-in-law Ronny Lewis of Marysville, Indiana; and her grandsons, Darren Ellegood of Milton and Daniel Ellegood of Clemons. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Home (7101 Campbellsburg Rd, Campbellsburg, KY 40011). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
