He is survived by: his caregiver Brenda Hughes Dahlem (Brierly) of Bedford; his sons, Ronnie Hughes (Annette) of Milton and Richard "Rick" Hughes (Rene) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Jennifer Heilman (Casey), Craig Hughes (Kelsey) and Haley Smith; his great grandchildren, Caden, Jadelynn, RaeLynn, Charlee, Maci and Kingsley; and his half-siblings, Donnie Hughes (Susan) of Bedford, Sherry Breaden (Dwain) of Farmville, Shirlene James of Bedford, Shelby McClure (Dave) of Milton, Rita Stangle (Kenny) of Carrollton and Patty Goodman (Kevin) of Louisville, Kentucky.. He is also survived by family includes the mother of his children.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Home - Bedford (441 US-42, Bedford, KY 40006). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
