She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Hayes and Carrie Harp Hayes; and her siblings, Ocia Elmore, Barbara Vincent, Ruelma Jaggers, Dessie Woodcock, Margaret VanMeter, Jessie, Essie and Athel Hayes.
She is survived by: her spouse McNeill VanMeter; her children, Robin VanMeter Ross (Roger) of Munfordville and Brent VanMeter of Chalybeate; her granddaughters, Alexis Crews of Glasgow and Mallory Crews of Glasgow; her great grandchild Nolan Alexander Dockery; her sister Phyllis Wilson of Louisville; and her sister-in-law Ronna Sanders (Hulen) of Bee Spring. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
