She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bessie Lear and Seymore McElwain; her siblings, Herman McElwain, Arlo McElwain of Barney McElwain, RB, Icy Wester and Sarah Wester; her husband Samuel "Woodrow" Harris; her daughter Sammie Moss (Stephen) of Owensboro, Kentucky.; her granddaughters, Tammie Marett (Mack) of Owensboro, Lori Houk (Melvin) of Eddyville and Stephanie "Nikki" Moss of Owensboro; her great grandchildren, John Bryant Houk (Danay) of Norman and Kaylin Bess Davis (Taylor) of Marion, Kentucky.; her great great grandchildren, Braylee Mae, Emerson Jane, Leighton Bryant and Edie Bryar; her aunt Goldie; and her caregiver Mary Barnett. She was also cherished by Several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Union Ridge Cemetery fund.
