She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Stapleton and Thelma Fernandez Stapleton; her husband Billy D. Battershell; her brothers, Jack Stapleton, Bob Stapleton and Richard Stapleton; and her sister-in-law Rita Stapleton.

She is survived by : her children, Mary M. Huneke, Helen Whitehead (late Larry), Jim Battershell (Sharon), Dave Battershell (Dianne) and Steve Battershell (Katya); and her brother Tom Stapleton. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
