He was predeceased by: his father Paul Edward Darnell; his grandparents, Chester, Evelyn Darnell, Roy Vasseur and Lexie Donohoo Vasseur; his niece Lexie McCarty; and his parents-in-law, Rose Mary Severs and David Lee Severs.

He is survived by: his wife Tara Lea Darnell; his pet Joey; his mother Linda Vasseur Woodward; his nephew James "Daniel" McCarty; his pet Sophie Grace; his close friend Kevin Bowman (Marilyn); Austin Jackson, Amanda Bowman and Elizabeth Martinez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

“Brad was my cousin. He was a free spirit. He loved music and photography. He was loved very much by many, most of all by Tara and his mother Linda and his sister Paula. He always had a sweet smile when I got to see him. He is at peace now. May God bless all who loved him. He will live forever in our hearts. Love and miss you. Kim Rogers”
