He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lee Story and Bernice "Jeanie" Story; and his siblings, Joyce "Kay" Frizzell and Joe Edd Story. He is survived by: his wife Denise Story; his children, Erin Lynne Story (Scott Plumley) and Adam Lee Story (Meredith) of Possum Trot, Kentucky; his sisters-in-law, Susie Story of Benton and Dana Dowdy of Paducah, Kentucky; his nieces and nephews, Tamela Haley (James) of Possum Trot, Rhonda Oldham (Roger) of Princeton, Clay Story of Benton, Mathew Dowdy and Marshall Dowdy; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaylin Oldham and Nick Oldham.
