She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McFadden and Rosa Wright McFadden; and her siblings, Robert McFadden, Helen Mullins, Ruth Daryl Mullins, Eula Kuhn, Alvilda Overton and Nell Anderson.
She is survived by: her husband Warren "Popa" Sowards of Benton, KY; her children, Kevin Sowards (Sherry) of Kuttawa, KY and Karen Parker (Stan) of Benton, KY; her sister Shirley Mullins (Dempsey) of Crofton, KY; her grandchildren, John Wright II, Kristin Wright, Kevin W. Sowards and Daniel Parker (Samantha); and her great grandchildren, Madison Childers, Makenzie Childers, Emily Wright, John Wright III, Jessica Carter and Randalyn Carter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
