We are sad to announce that, on April 11, 2026, at the age of 74, Patricia Metts of Benton, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Wimpy and Bessie Baldwin Wimpy; and her former husband Dennis Metts. She is survived by: her husband Allen Gildersleeve; her children, Laura Wilkins (Kyle) of Kevil, Lisa Balton (Robin) of Memphis, Tennessee, Michael Metts (Cindy) of Vista and Troy Metts (Brenda) of Monroe, Georgia; her siblings, Paulette Stewart of Pembroke, Carolyn Darnell of Madisonville, Jeanette Aldridge of Pembroke, Kentucky and Larry Wimpy (Mary) of Port Wentworth, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Katherine Harris, Matilyn Harris, Hadley Harris, Rachel Hinson, Courtney Orr, Emily Balton, Zack Metts and John Baton. She is also survived by grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
