He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frank and Alma Louise Sweatt Burns; and his sister Gloria Mayo. He is survived by: his girlfriend Nancy Singleton of Benton, Kentucky; his children, Amanda Burns of Louisville, Kentucky, William Michael Burns (Crystal) of Ledbetter, Jared Burns of Owensboro and Eli Burns of Calvert City, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jason Burns, Justin Burns, Mason Burns, Irelynn Burns, Evan Burns and Isabella Burns; his great grandchildren, Hazel Burns and Alva Burns; his sister Barbara Wurth of Paducah; and his pet Rowdy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
