She was predeceased by : her parent Tilmon (Bessie Stewart Townsend); her husband Paul Hobbs; her son Paul Edwin Hobbs; and her siblings, Belle Townsend, Brownlow Townsend, Judy Nealey, James Townsend, Tilmon Townsend, Jr., Ann Meldrim and Lola Fergueson.

She is survived by : her parent America; her children, Stephen Durand Hobbs (Diana), Susan Diane Walker and Myron Kelly Hobbs (Janna Flowers); her grandchildren, Dawn Grosheider, Paula Hobbs, Jeromy Hobbs, Paul Hobbs, Rose Still, Laura Crump, Colin Walker and Naomi Hobbs; her sister Lydia Spranger; her daughter-in-law Mary Hobbs; and her sister-in-law Cora Townsend. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
