He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wallace Samuel Castle and Maude Short Castle; his wife Gwenda Castle of Fleming-Neon, Kentucky.; and his siblings, Ovid Castle, Sam Castle (Mary), Mildred Castle Amburgey (Arnold), Cecilia Castle, Joy Castle Amburgey (Earl), Carl Castle (Louise) and Derriel Castle.
He is survived by: his children, Candace Castle Whitworth (James) of Ledbetter, Kentucky and Samuel Castle of Berea, Kentucky; his sister-in-law Annette Castle of Lexington, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Alex Whitworth (Shelby) of Ledbetter, Kentucky, Caeleigh Whitworth of Paducah, Kentucky, Drew Whitworth of Ledbetter, Kentucky, Derek Castle of Berea, Kentucky and Brooke Castle Payne (Jaden) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.; and his great grandchildren, Dallas Castle and Swayze Payne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
